armageddon cake

Hello. A few weekends ago, my group of friends and myself ventured out to a little dessert bar in the alleyways of town to celebrate my best friend's fifteenth. It was bucket load of fun and we played multiple games of uno, ate so much cake and laughed a lot. It was an incredible night.

I'll stop talking now and let you look at the pretty interiors and mouth watering cakes but for click here for more information about armageddon cake dessert bar.

empty carpark

Hello. Hope you are all doing well. So I am back from camp - it went by so quickly and I had so much fun, went on a 210m (I think) flying fox, had ZERO panic attacks and missed home cooking like you wouldn't believe. Currently, I am having a rest day which entails siting on the couch with a blanket watching Friends and the final episode of Downton Abbey *que tears* and procrastinating maths homework and unpacking my suitcase.

Since it is starting to turn Autumn and you can feel the chill in the air, I wanted to style a cape in a Autumnal fashion so it is perfect for the cool mornings and even more perfect for the sunny arvos. I love the contrast between the bold stripes and slim silhouette of the monochrome midi dress and the slouchy look and checked pattern on the cape. Polished off with some basic chunky boots and clean cut clutch, the ensemble gives off a cosy and edgy vibe.

On another note, how pretty does the sky look in these shots? I love how bright blue it is with the dark clouds covering them - it looks so strange yet it's beautiful. Makes me really want to do more photography to capture pretty things and produce cool editorials. I'll have another post going up on Saturday or Sunday since I have some photos to share when I went to a dessert cafe to celebrate by best friend's 15th. So until next time.

tribute

Greetings from a very tired Chelsea. The first week of school for the second term has been a rude awakening - literally. Thank you alarm for waking me up at way to early o'clock when it would be so much better for everyone else for me to stay in bed and get my beauty *ha, who does she think she is* sleep. Anyway, I wanted to put up a post tonight because I will be away for a few days on school camp. From Sunday morning to Wednesday night I will have experienced 8 plus hours on a bus, done a aerial rope course and seen a deer. I am really excited for all the activities but I will admit I am very very very nervous for the night times (long story short, anxiety / homesickness sucks majorly). But other than that, currently I am packing for my camp adventure, quite tired, slowly getting back into routine and listening to Blue Neighbourhood by Troye Sivan.

I have been wanting to style a minimal and sophisticated look for a while now that included a basic pair of denim and a black blazer whilst still keeping it young and youthful. I think this outfit just screams simplicity and I love how it look very basic but still completed and put together. The height from the heels adds a youthful touch and the cut of blazer is a li' different from the regular rounded edge with the fun ruffles. Adding a tee instead of collared button down takes the 'work attire' look away from it and the light denim wash freshens it all up. Finish it all off with a messy pony and you have yourself the perfect ensemble for any respectable occasion.

I'll have a new post up on Thursday as I will be back from camp then and (I betcha) dying to blog and talk to you. Have a lovely weekend and please know that I am alive for those days I am away. Haha! Okay, I really need to get some sleep. I'll be off then to listen to Troye and pack trackies in a suitcase.

So much love. Ciao!

a head full of dreams

Jay Jays pants, Nike sneakers, Katies denim jacket, Venus Flytrap Tee & Rubi hat

Here we are, finding ourselves on the last day of school holidays and I hope this Sunday goes on forever. It's not that I don't like school but the thought of my alarm going off at 6:30am tomorrow morning is something that isn't making me too happy. It will be good to get back into routine and actually know what the day of the week is though.

This outfit is one of my current favourites mainly because of this new hat I got recently. It's a grey felt / woven effect with a black band around the top and sort of a stretchy material so it fits my head without the worry of it flying off into the distance. I paired it with my denim jacket since I figured it needed to make an appearance on the blog again sometime soon and a pair of black skinnies since I wasn't feeling the whole denim on denim vibe. With the addition of a graphic tee and some Nike sneakers, this ensemble is my perfect casual Autumn look. It's something simple and minimal but the graphic adds a bit of personality and jazzes up the outfit.

I'm off to get my things ready for tomorrow's early start and relish in my freedom that will only last a few more hours. I'll have a new post up on Friday night so keep your eyes peeled for that and don't forget to follow my Instagram (in the side bar) to stay updated with what's going on. Hope you are all doing well and keep dreaming.

pinterest mood board / one

Things have been quite around these parts recently. I thought there would be so many posts going up these past two weeks since I am currently on an Easter break but I didn't realise just how tired and mentally drained I was, then I got a twenty four hour virus and I did not have the energy to do anything but sleep and eat breakfast cereal for breakfast, lunch and tea [which I didn't, do not worry]. Which leads to me to this post here - my first ever mood board with pretty pictures and style inspiration that I found whilst scrolling through my Pinterest feed.

So currently my aesthetics include minimal style and basic tees and shirts, black and white photography, an urge to create something beautiful, plants, an obsession with owning my first pair of trousers, loving the delicate look of piercings and platinum blonde hair + finally unique decor prints and hanging light bulbs.

I have a few ideas on some other posts that I am excited to share with you and today I am hoping to shoot a couple of outfits that I have planned out. Hope you all are doing well, had a lovely Easter and are enjoying your week.
